About the Item
A most beautiful Max Muller original 1950 s necklace .
This classic design by the renowned Kaufbeuren jeweller, Max Muller, is set with brilliant clear rhinestones both round, navette and baguette in various sizes.
Suspended from the necklace is a large poured glass baroque drop pearl.
3 baroque round glass pearls mounted on wire and secured by a pinched tube setting to the back {a unique construction feature of Max Muller}.
Although unsigned as many early pieces were this is indisputably a piece by Max Muller created in the 1950s.
The design features which include the pearl settings the flat metal framework, small silver beaded enhancements and the use of high quality glass baroque pearls are all clear indications.
Length. 17 inches with 2/12 inch extender
The centre section is 21/2 inches deep including the glass pearl.
The necklace is secured with a ring bolt clasp.
In very good condition and has come from a long standing collector of Max Muller.
Max Muller created designs for many French Couturiers including Christian Dior, Jacques Fath and Hollywood Stars such as a Sophia Loren and Marlene Dietrich.
These early pieces are difficult to find and in such lovely condition, which makes this piece very rare.
