The idea for this jewellery collection came to the artist, Polya Medvedeva from Berlin, while she was inspired by fragrances with sweet and fresh notes of fig. The collection has become a favourite for everyone who adores fragrances or sunny places where this fruit grows. The design of this shining gold fig pendant makes it a contemporary jewellery item, while the simplicity of the lines and the big dark gem give it a slightly grungy vibe.
In ancient myths, the fig tree was considered sacred and symbolised peace, fertility, generosity, and the richness of life. In the Bible, figs were seen as equivalent to forbidden apples and were the only clothes for the first humans in the Garden of Eden.

Polya's pieces are featured in Vogue UA, Harper’s Bazaar UA, Another magazine UK, and other publications. One of Polya's notable admirers is the German actress Anne Ratte-Polle, who selected her jewelry to wear on the red carpet of the Berlinale Film Festival.
