An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage French import 18 carat yellow gold fringe necklace; part of our diverse vintage French jewellery collections. This exceptional, fine and impressive vintage necklace has been crafted in 18 karat yellow gold. The anterior portion of the necklace is ornamented with an articulating fringe style design, composed from a conjoined oval links accented with graduating vertical pale style terminals. The surface of the necklace is ornamented with a ribbed decoration to one side, and the other is plain and unembellished; this allows for the necklace to be worn with two variations. This substantial gold necklace secures to the reverse with a push fit clasp, and benefits from the added security of a hinged catch. The tongue of the clasp is hallmarked with the French import gold mark (owl); this mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office. This exceptional and imposing necklace has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold.
