About the Item
An 18 karat yellow gold and coin pearl necklace by Yvel. The necklace is called the "Biwa", and features 23 round disc flat white pearls with gold links connecting one to the next.
The pearls are highly lustrous and vary slightly in shape, the overall effect being rather enchanting especially against tanned skin.
Most renowned for their innovative and extensive use of pearls of all sizes and shapes, Yvel was founded in 1986 by Isaac and Orna Levy, whose last name is the reverse of the brand name. Shortly after their marriage in Jerusalem, the couple, who had ties to the world of high end pearls through Orna's familial connection to Moussaeif, went into the jewelry business themselves with the singular intention of becoming the world's foremost baroque pearl jewelers.
