About the Item
A classic elegant and feminine design glass pearl cabochon and clear rhinestone necklace by Roger Jean Pierre from the 1950s for Christian Dior.
Mounted in silvered metal settings, the single row of articulated links are each set with a glass pearl cabochon and twin round and navette clear crystal rhinestones.
A simple hook and ring clasp secures, which is signed Made in France of the back of the end link.
Roger Jean Pierre was a renowned designer in Paris who originally worked for the famous Francis Winter. RJP designed jewellery for Balmain, Dior and Balenciaga.
Length of necklace 14.3/4 inches, with a width of 1 inch.
The last picture shows an almost identical signed Christian Dior set sold at an Auction in Europe.
In very good condition, all stones are clear and bright and there is no loss to the nacre finish of the
