About the Item
An absolutely breathtaking Victorian (ca1880s) era Riviera diamond necklace! Crafted in sterling silver topped 14k gold, this exquisite necklace features 50 alternating diamond links. The larger links feature old mine cut diamonds which are set within a domed bezel setting. Each large diamond is separated by a link featuring three additional diamonds in connected bezel settings, which are hinged to to allow the necklace to move freely. The diamonds are fancy colored stones, ranging from pink to orange to brown, with I-SI clarity range and weigh approximately 11.00ctw+. The push clasp of the necklace is hidden within one of these smaller links and is secured with a spring ring safety chain. A stunning and very special statement piece, it would make an impressive addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 19 1/2" in total length.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling setting or to the diamond stones, all of which are intact. The push clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition.
