14K gold long chain necklace dating to the 1970s. The design features repeating openwork marquise shaped stations with a pierced, lace like pattern, each section connected by small textured links that add movement and light reflection. The combination of filigree style stations and twisted connectors is characteristic of late 20th century goldwork, when detailed but lightweight decorative chains were widely produced in both Italy and the United States.
