As playful and as fluid as a line drawing, this energetic portrait-in-wire embellished in diamonds depicts a skull, and it is as lively as a memento mori can get. It has a lightness like a sculptural drawing in space. It dazzles with a vibrancy, even though it symbolizes the opposite. It is a gestural drawing for one that cannot gesture any longer. This Adamas Diamond Skull Pendant Necklace is made in Italy in the 21st century, circa 2010s, crafted in 18K white gold and features a single row of round brilliant-cut white diamonds, pavé-set around the outline of the head, eyes, nose, and mouth. The loop at the top which connects the piece to its leather cord is likewise adorned with pavé diamonds, here set in a double row.
The black round leather cord is the perfect complement, looking like a simple line drawing itself It is adjustable. It can be worn anywhere between 16.5 inches (41.91 cm) at the shortest and 19 inches (48.26 cm) at the longest. So who would want to wear a skull?
