About the Item
This striking vintage necklace from Christian Dior, crafted by the esteemed Henkel
Grosse of Germany, features 13 fluid strands of twisted rope links in alternating gold and silver plate, creating a dynamic, dimensional statement. The contrasting metallic tones add versatility, allowing it to complement both gold and silver accessories. The multi-strand design sits beautifully at the collarbone, offering a bold yet elegant vintage look emblematic of Dior’s refined glamour in the late 20th century. The shortest top strand is 31" long and the longest bottom strand is 35.25" long. The back of the box for the push pin clasp is stamped 19, Chr. Dior, Copyright mark, 75 and Germany. 19 and 75 denote the year. Please note there is a old repair to the necklace where the 7th middle strand was soldered back onto clasp on the end with the push pin tongue. It is an old repair and not very noticeable unless one were looking for it. Please see photo where the repair is circled
