About the Item
Icy and opulent high style double strand fine blue translucent chalcedony beads flanked by smooth rich blue sapphire rondelles which are then centered on fine creamy white round cultured pearls. The two strands of lavishly strung beads are separated with 14kt. gold dividers set with sparkling cut blue sapphire gems.
The centerpiece of the necklace is a beautiful 14kt. gold oval clasp of radiating design with alternating sections of round cut medium blue sapphires with well cut white diamonds, the center set with a creamy white fine cultured pearl. This pearl and the clasp are of vintage origin of the 1960’s or ‘70’s which would indicate that the pearls are of considerably better quality than most of the pearls on today’s market.
The clasp can be worn either in the front or the back but also looks very well when worn to the side.
