Grand, beautiful, and rare, this double-strand jade necklace features 114 approximately 9.5mm hand-carved and polished untreated Burmese jadeite beads. These are substantial, fine, old-school jade beads that are free from cracks, chips, or damage —obviously, this necklace has been cherished for decades. The beads are translucent and variegated, so they display beautiful areas of lighter and darker green.
The longer strand measures 24" while the shorter one is 20". A 9 karat yellow gold clasp set with three marquise-shaped cabochons completes the necklace. It also makes me think the necklace was created in the UK.
Luminous. impossibly smooth and cool to the touch, this substantial necklace weighs 169 grams —about a third of a pound. And that's a third of a pound of some of the rarest gemstone material on the planet: jadeite.
This incredible necklace has been recently restrung on sturdy silk thread with knots individually tied between each bead. The images show you how the necklace changes with the light. Magical.
It ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating that the jade is untreated jadeite from Burma (Myanmar).
