Beautiful Monet two strand cream glass faux pearl necklace featuring a stylish gold plated clasp. The lustrous pearls are knotted between each pearl. The shortest strand measures length 84.5 cm / 33.25 inches, and the pearls are 1 cm / .39 inch. The necklace is in very good condition. The clasp has scratching as expected.
This is a classic Monet faux pearl necklace with a lovely shiny gold plated clasp. Circa 1980s.
Monet was founded in 1929 by Michael and Jay Chernow in Providence, Rhode Island, and became one of the leading names in costume jewellery design during the 1940's. By the 1980's Monet was producing jewellery for Yves Saint Laurent, and is still a successful company today.
