Estate Coup de Foudre/Love at First Sight statement necklace by Kerry MacBride. Rock crystal and patinated hand wrought sterling silver necklace centered by a large 50mm by 50mm stylized patinated hand wrought sterling silver heart rendered as struck by lightning, the back depicting reticulated lightning strikes. The French expression Un Coup de Foudre, a strike of lightning, also signifies love at first sight. With triple strands of polished round rock crystal beads and a beautifully made substantial S clasp. Fabulous conversation piece full of symbolism and wit. Dimensions: 18.5 inches in length, the heart 2 inches by 2 inches Marks: signed in script Kerry MacBride, sterling Excellent condition Provenance: from the collection of a New York and South Hampton socialite, daughter of a former Ambassador to the US. Kerry MacBride's jewelry has been featured in Vogue, GQ, Harper's Bazaar and Elle magazines. His collections have been sold through Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus and notable clients include Madonna and Truman Capote. All of the pieces are finished by hand and made in the USA. He is known for beautiful organic forms and has created one of a kind statement pieces.
