About the Item
This is a sumptuous Vintage VOGUE Gripoix Red and Blue Crackle Glass Bead Necklace with Crystal set rondelles. The multi Strand Runway Necklace has two rows of crackle glass beads in gorgeous blue and red. There are wonderful crystal set rondelle spacers throughout the necklace. The clasp is set with red stones. The clasp is signed VOGUE on the reverse. The necklace is a mesmerizing piece of wearable art from the 1950s.
Vogue Jewelry was established in New York in 1936 by Grant, Gilbert and Shapiro. They produced incredible pieces of costume jewellery which were hugely popular during the 1950s and 60s. Their Statement collars, necklaces and exquisitely embellished clasps were in hot demand. The business closed during the 1970s and the best pieces of Vogue Jewelry are now scarce and coveted.
Vintage Condition: Very good without damage or noteworthy wear.

Fastening: Push in concealed clasp
The shortest strand of the necklace is 19.5 inches long.
The beads are 11mm in diameter.
The necklace is signed VOGUE on the clasp.
