About the Item
A striking vintage Zuni handcrafted necklace, featuring a multi-strand design made from sterling silver tube beads accented with royal-blue seed beads. The centerpiece is a beautifully polished lapis lazuli teardrop cabochon, bezel-set in sterling silver and signed on the reverse with the Zuni hallmark.
The deep ultramarine lapis stone shows natural flecks of gold-toned pyrite, offering a rich contrast against the cool silver tones. The three graduated strands create a graceful drape that sits elegantly along the neckline.
A distinctive example of 20th-century Native American Zuni craftsmanship, combining modernist structure with traditional stonework.
