Beautifully hand carved in lapis lazuli re-creation, in high relief, of Pisanello's medal of a young woman, unicorn, crescent moon and convent tower. Italian portrait from the 14th century portraying both innocence and knowledge carries with it the unique story of a young female scholar. Framed in in 18 Karat polished yellow gold. Included with a 18K brushed yellow gold twist wire loop. 30 mm round. Also shown on this site in 18 Karat gold.
