About the Item
An incredible Italian micro mosaic urn locket/pin from the Victorian (circa 1880) era! This fabulous museum-worthy piece is made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold and depicts a gorgeous and ornate urn. The piece, which is particularly large in size, depicts a 3-dimensional urn which has tiny tiles with vivid colors of glass hand set into the front surface. The lovely urn has varying shades of blue, burnt red and white and amazing detail. The body of the vessel is accented by fine twisted wirework and beadwork and at the side are 2 textured curved handles. The piece hangs from a rectangular shaped link which carries the complimentary design found on the urn and the entire locket/pin hangs from large bail which is also detailed in an ornate micro mosaic image. The back reveals a glass-covered spot for your favorite photograph as well as a secure pin clasp. This is truly a magnificent piece would make any micro mosaic collection complete!
The micro mosaic pin/locket hangs 3 3/4” long, is 1 3/8” wide and 5/8” thick.
