About the Item
We are so delighted to have this extraordinary antique Art Deco 15 Carat natural Aquamarine and Green Tourmaline and Pearl Pendant in 14 Karat Gold. The magnificent Aquamarine is 25mm long and the gem has an exquisite oval shape, fine blue color and faceted cut. The radiance of the monumental aqua is enhanced by the beautiful shape of the pendant and the wonderful facet work. The color of the aqua is that of sea blue water. The Aquamarine is surrounded by a stunning open work halo set with six natural mined Green Tourmaline gems and seed pearls. The Tourmaline gems are absolutely exquisite. They have a wonderful green color characteristic of fine Tourmalines. Each Tourmaline is approximately 1/4 Carat for a total weight of 1.5 Carats of Tourmalines. The combination of the spectacular Aquamarine and the green Tourmalines in the open work knife edge design creates a Museum Quality jewel. The pendant dates to the Victorian to Art Deco period. It is rare to find Aquamarines of this monumental size and cut and in combination with Tourmalines we have a very rare period piece. The pendant is a dramatic statement jewel with exquisite style and can be worn everyday or at the most glamorous affair.
The pendant including the bale is 2 inches (52mm) long. The pendant is 7/8 inch (24mm) wide.
The aquamarine is approximately 25.3 Carats. The aqua is 25mm by 14mm by 8mm.
