Large, unusual museum quality Spanish Baroque period ruby, rock crystal, gold and silver topped gold cross
17th Century
A clear rock crystal crucifix, bevel cut and carved with a central cross design, surrounded by an ornate scrolled reticulated ruby set framework.
Rubies: rich raspberry red color, with abraisions consistent with the age of this jewel, 22 gemstones in all.
Tested for 14K gold and silver
