About the Item
This beautiful pendant melds a modern aesthetic with classic charm. Handcrafted in Florence, Italy, this piece was made by a multigenerational goldsmith with each fine line being hand-carved to give the pendant a lustrous silk effect. The technique applied is known as Florentine engraving, a style synonymous with this region of Italy that has been practiced for over 600 years.
Set in solid 18-karat yellow gold is one boulder opal measuring 8.23 carats. It has a dark body color with vibrant play of color and wonderful patches of red flash. It is surrounded by 32 round, full-cut diamonds measuring .32 carats. The melee grade VS in clarity and F-G in color. The pendant is suspended on a 16" cable chain.
