This stylish 1960s necklace evokes the much sought after faux pearl sautoirs created by the house of Chanel.

The Details...
This sautoir necklace features gold plated chain and gold plated open-work design panels. It features an array of faux round and baroque pearls. Suspended from the sautoir is a gold plated filigree capping and gold plated chains attached to which are faux teardrop pearls. The necklace is 74cm in length and the drop of the tassels is 8cm.
A Short History...
This necklace bears a strong resemblance to the faux pearl sautoirs created by Chanel. The Miriam Haskell company also produced gold plated chain necklaces detailed with faux baroque pearls like this piece too. This example is unsigned. But, it's nonetheless still a stylish and timeless example of costume jewellery in wonderful condition.

The Details...
This necklace is constructed from silver gilt. Along its length are shell-inspired motifs, which are detailed with swirling silver filigree patterns and small, round Marcasite stones. The necklace fastens with a bolt ring. It is signed. The back of the necklace is stamped 'TF 925 ORIGINAL FAHRNER'. The necklace measures 38cm in length.
