About the Item
Natural emerald and round cut diamond pendant necklace. Featuring a 2.72-carat vivid green emerald cut natural emerald with 'minor' oil treatment. Set in 18k solid gold and 2.38 carats in round cut diamonds that form a stunning double halo design.
This Emerald was sourced from the famous Muzo Mine, located in the western Boyaca province of the Andes Mountains. It is a rare and significant piece with legendary origins. Displaying a richly green saturation and minor oil treatment. So significant that GRS labs offered us an appendix with special comments about the stone.
GRS Appendix Comments: "This vividly saturated emerald of 2.72 ct is reminiscent in hue of the varieties displaying the legendary colors found in the world renowned Muzo mines. They are formally described as “Muzo Green” (*) and commonly known in the trade as “Old Mine” emeralds”
