About the Item
Amethyst and diamond pendant. Set to centre with a drop shape old cut natural amethyst in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 25.00 carats, encircled by forty-five round eight cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.80 carats, adorned further with twenty-five cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.45 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.25 carats, to an impressive pendant featuring scalloped edges and an intricate bow motif, a decorative pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, fitted to top with an integrated bale and fine trace chain with secure C-clasp, pendant approximately 5.5cm in length, chain approximately 18" in length. Pendant tested platinum, chain marked platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by fitted antique box.
