About the Item

An authentic silver "denarius" coin minted between 193 - 211 AD during the realm of the Roman emperor Septimus Severus displays the goddess Victoria advancing left, holding an open wreath in both hands. Victoria was worshipped in temples throughout the Roman Empire, and was particularly associated with the city of Rome itself. She would bring Rome victory and help the Romans triumph over their enemies. She was considered a powerful and benevolent goddess, and was highly respected and honored throughout the Empire. The opposite side of this coin displays a bust of Septimius Severus. The coin is highlighted in an ancient-insipred "double line texture" artisan crafted 18K gold setting designed by Steven Battelle. This pendant is sent with a laminated lifetime coin certificate of authenticity. The 18K handmade hammered chain shown is not included, but can be ordered additionally. It comes in 18”, 20”, and 24” lengths. We discount our chains 20% when ordered with a pendant. An ancient talisman of protection!
