A beautifully crafted 19th-century oval locket in 14 karat yellow gold, enriched with delicate niello detailing and fine guilloché engraving. This refined jewel exemplifies the elegant balance of form and ornament characteristic of mid- to late-19th century European goldsmithing.
The front is decorated with a concentric guilloché pattern centered by a laurel wreath motif, symbolizing victory and eternity, framed within a bold niello enamel border enhanced with stylized floral accents. The crisp contrast between the deep black enamel and the warm glow of gold lends the piece both distinction and sophistication. The reverse side displays a complete guilloché pattern in radiating engine-turned lines, creating a subtle play of light across the surface.
