The gold front and back are applied to a base metal frame or sometimes sterling silver.
The supporting frame of the locket and hinge are base metal.
Gorgeous, Edwardian heart shaped locket. Beautifully decorated with a pretty swallow
flower with a zig zag patterned border.
Swallows were a very romantic symbol in Victorian jewellery
represented loyalty, love, and peace.
Locket measures approx height 25.8mm
width 21.7mm
