About the Item
This expressive Art Deco pendant was created in 1920 ca. The design is reminiscent of jewellery designed by the Wiener Werkstatt, especially the work of Dagobert Peche. The pendant is made up of different layers of jagged metal. The faceted pieces of celluloid are decorated with abstract forms and coiled gilt metal wire, the decorations have been riveted to the white celluloid. The celluloid is set in a wavy mount surrounded by a twisted metal wire. The expressive eyelet uses also coiled metal wire.
