An Art Nouveau blue paste, pearl, enamel, and yellow gold pendant, comprising one round cut blue paste gem, one baroque pearl, and vari-colour enamel, in 9 karat yellow gold.
My favourite thing about this Art Nouveau 9K Yellow Gold Blue Paste, Pearl and Enamel Pendant is the beautiful enamel. What’s yours? Perhaps the shimmering pearl? Or the elegant design?
This charming Art Nouveau pendant is formed as an organic, undulating shape, from which a beautiful flower springs. A pair of leaves are adorned in pastel hued enamel, green, leading to yellow, leading to pink. From the centre of these leaves, a bezel set blue, sapphire coloured paste gemstone emerges, as if the head of a flower. From the bottom of the pendant, a baroque, ‘dog tooth’ pearl is suspended, pale, lustrous, and shimmering. The pendant is complete with a plain, yellow gold bale. The pendant is in good condition, with minimal wear to the enamel. The pearl has experienced some wear to the back, likely due to rubbing against a garment, and is not as smooth and shiny as the front, there is a little wear to the inside of the bale, but this does not affect wearability. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
The pendant measures 20.1mm wide, 36mm long, and 4mm deep.
