About the Item
The Art Nouveau era really opened up the world to some beautiful delicate jewels, like this beautiful antique, Art Nouveau era Amethyst and seed pearl pendant necklace.
The pendant has an unusual cruciform design within a circular shaped pendant, set with a rich purple amethyst to the centre and four creamy pearls to each end of the cruciform shape.
It is suspended from a slim gold drop with a round cut amethyst at the terminal to the chain, from there it is attached to a fine trace chain, all in a rich bloomed 9ct yellow gold.
Such a pretty antique pendant with an unusual design.
The chain is quite short so this will sit close to the neck and it fastens with a barrel clasp.
Marks and era:
It is marked on the clasp 9ct, Art Nouveau era, C1900s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, minor surface wear to the stones.
