About the Item
This unusual locket pendant in the shape of a ball was created in the 1870’s. It is made out of 14K yellow gold and impressed with an Austrian gold hallmark.
The ball shaped locket opens up to reveal a gold polyeder with photo frames on all sides. All frames are on a hinge and open up to reveal more photos on the inside. One frame when opened unfolds into eight round miniature gold photo frames. All frames still hold the original photos. The locket belonged to the second wife of the painter Franz von Lenbach.
