About the Item
This striking piece of Belle Époque jewellery was created around the last decade of the 19th century. The pendant is set with a fine size round amethyst with a diameter of 1.9 cm mounted in a mille griffe platinum mount backed on 14 karat yellow gold. It is suspended from a platinum bow, also gold backed, and set with rose cut diamonds. The bow and the amethyst are connected by three old cut diamonds in mille griffe settings. Two diamonds are joined together and articulated. The third diamond is fixed to the amethyst. The diamonds are joined by tiny gold loops. The bow is suspended from gold eyelet set with three rose diamonds in a platinum mille griffe setting.
