About the Item
An antique platinum topped 18k gold buff top amethyst heart pin with bail surrounded by rosecut diamonds and small pearls, circa 1900. The amethysts is a pretty purple hue, and is smooth on top and faceted on the back creating depth. There are 40 small rosecut diamonds weighing approximately 0.90 carats. The heart can be worn as a pin, or hung from a chain from a bail that can be raised or lowered. There is also a swan neck at the bottom where another element can be hung (perhaps another pearl). The pin is 1.25 inches long and 1 inch wide.
