Antique French Gold Stone Pendant-Brooch Signed Veuve Gueudet, 1890
A beautifully poetic jewel created by the esteemed Parisian house Veuve Gueudet, around 1890. This rare dual-purpose piece may be worn either as a brooch or as a pendant, thanks to the prominent integrated hook on the reverse.
The design is composed of multiple natural pink stones arranged in an organic, seemingly effortless cluster. Each stone is individually articulated, allowing the entire composition to move gently with the body—an elegant and highly unusual feature that brings life to the piece.
Handcrafted in French 18K gold, the brooch displays the refined sensibility and meticulous workmanship associated with the Gueudet atelier. It is signed "Gueudet" on the back and again on the branch, confirming its distinguished provenance.
