About the Item
A beautiful antique Georgian (1714 to ca. 1830-1837) 14 karat gold miniature portrait pendant depicting a lady. This portrait, handmade in circa 1800, is painted in soft tones on presumably porcelain and the border is set with 59 rose cut diamonds in a 14 karat gold setting. It is a remarkable pendant with soft pastel colors and realistic facial features of the young lady. The front is covered with a round glass plate and the 14 karat gold backside has beautifully gold sunburst engraved lines. The top is embellished with a 14 karat gold stylized bow. The entire pendant is very intriguing and delicately made.
Despite it's being a very old jewel, the diamond pendant is in a very beautiful condition. The pendant measures 35 x 25 mm and weighs 11.4 grams. Hallmarks are present and visible on the back of the bail.
The pendant will be beautifully gift-wrapped in a black and gold presentation box.
