About the Item
A striking antique locket (circa 1910), featuring a beautifully modeled lion and lioness in high relief, framed by a graceful crescent of pearls and accented with red leaded glass accents. The bold imagery and romantic symbolism—strength, partnership, and protection—are hallmark themes of early 20th-century sentimental jewelry.
The reverse of the locket bears engraved initials (possibly FJV), adding a touch of mystery and personal history. The piece measures approximately 2 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom by 1.5 inches wide and weighs 15.75 grams.
