About the Item
This fine size locket heart pendant was created in the last two decades of the 19th century. The heart is a locket pendant with a glass back. The front of the heart locket is made out of one piece of gunmetal. The hinged back of the locket consists out of a heart shaped frame made out of gunmetal into which the original heart shaped glass with a bevelled edge is fitted.
Gunmetal jewellery was very popular in the last two decades of the 19th century.
