About the Item
Romantic and graceful, this Art Nouveau pendant (circa 1890) features a finely detailed golden iris, a flower symbolic of faith, wisdom, and hope, suspended above a luminous freshwater pearl dangle. The flowing, organic lines are characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement, which celebrated the elegance of nature in jewelry design.
Crafted in 10k gold, the pendant measures approximately 1.6 inches from the top of the bail to the base by 0.9 inches wide, offering balanced proportions and refined presence. It remains in excellent antique condition, with both gold and pearl beautifully preserved.
The gold content has been professionally verified through X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and jeweler’s acid testing, confirming authenticity and quality.
