Early XX cent. beautiful arrangement of 10 oval cut of natural Amethyst stones and 14 Seed Pearls framed into chained clusters of solid Gilt Silver. Hallmarks on C-lock part 850, unclear maker's marks. High-quality natural eye clean Amethysts gradually sized: one largest is ca. 14 mm x 10 mm x 7 mm / ca.5.6 ct + 2 stones ca. 11 mm x 8 mm x 5.6 mm / ca 2.8 ct. each + 2 stones ca. 10.5 mm x 7.5 mm x 4.25 mm deep / ca 1.9 ct each + one 10mm x 7.5 mm / ca. 1.7ct + 2 x 10 mm x 7 mm / 1.6ct each + two stones 9 mm x 7 mm /ca 1.45ct each Thus total weight of the Amethyst : 5.6ct +2.8 ct + 2.8ct + 1.9ct +1.9ct + 1.7ct+1.6ct+1.6ct + 1.45ct + 1.45ct= ca. 22ctw - 23ctw All stones demonstrate natural flaws, inclusions, and fingerprints typical for naturals. Polishing of the band is always a final step of any resizing but machinery used for polishing causes vibration that old rings (with prongs for example ) often do not like at all.
