About the Item
An antique necklace in silver, gold and platinum, comprising of one large pear cut amethyst and 12 old cut diamonds, set in silver, backed in gold, on a fine curb link chain of platinum.
The principle pear cut amethyst is a lovely lilac colour and is beautifully clean and clear. The sizeable amethyst is bezel set in silver and drops from a diamond encrusted pendant of foliate and scrolled form. The diamonds are bright and well matched, sparkling from within their silver settings. The delicate scrolled and foliate motifs come together with the attractive amethyst, to create a beautiful, elegant necklace. The necklace is articulated, allowing it to sit against your body and the silver settings are all backed in gold, to prevent staining of skin and clothing. The integral, fine curb link chain is in-keeping with the elegance of the necklace and safely secured with a spring ring clasp. This necklace is in great condition. Wear and tear acquiescent with age.
