A Victorian pearl, enamel, and yellow gold pendant, comprising thirteen half seed pearls, in 18 karat yellow gold.
My favourite thing about this Victorian Yellow Gold Pearl and Enamel Cross Pendant is the striking design. What’s yours? Perhaps the shimmering pearls? Or the deep blue enamel?
This Victorian pendant is designed as cross or crucifix. The cross is set with shimmering half seed pearls. The pearls are pale, lustrous, and well-matched with one another. The pearls are bordered with cobalt blue enamel, running around the edge of the cross. The pendant has an integral bale, similarly set, with a half seed pearl and cobalt blue enamel, creating a diamond shape. The bale is complete with a loop suitable for a multitude of chains. The back is plain, polished yellow gold. The pendant is in good condition, with some tiny nicks to the enamel, areas of old adhesive visible to the edge of some of the pearls, and some wear to the inside of the bale. Wear and tear acquiescent with age. Please note, the chain you see in the photos is for display only, and not included.
