About the Item
Here's a fun pendant in 14 karat yellow gold, citrine and pearl. Dating back to the turn-of-the-century, this lovely Victorian era lavaliere pendant artfully blends two beautiful gems - an approximately 0.25 carat square faceted bezel set citrine, three 2mm seed pearls, and one 4mm x 2.79mm freshwater pearl - into its effortless design.
The pendant measures 2" long x 7/16" wide and weighs 1.4 grams. The missing original freshwater drop pearl has been replaced.
This circa late 1800s pendant was made during that time by Alling
Co. in Newark, NJ which is indicted by the clover frame maker's mark on the back of the pendant. Citrine was a significant and fashionable gemstone during the Victorian era as it was a favorite stone of Queen Victoria's.
