About the Item
A beautiful example of Victorian jewelry, this ornate locket pendant is crafted in warm 9K yellow gold and showcases the elegant craftsmanship of the era. The focal point is a deep red, cabochon-cut garnet carbuncle, shaped in a teardrop form and crowned with a luminous half pearl at its center. A second half pearl adorns the lower section of the pendant, adding balance and refinement.
Surrounding the garnet is a beautifully detailed gold framework, accented with granulated beadwork and engraved foliate scrollwork that epitomizes the romantic sentimentality of the Victorian period. The bale is set with additional seed pearls, enhancing the overall opulence and Victorian symbolism.
