Step back in time with this breathtaking GIA-certified Early Victorian celestial masterpiece.
Stunning Antique Find: 19th Century Victorian 19K Yellow Gold Diamond Enamel Star Pendant, centered with Old Mine brilliant-cut diamond, the ten rayed star pavé-set throughout with graduated old brilliant and rose-cut diamonds within a bright royal blue enamel border.
Artfully sculpted in in buttery high carat gold ( tested 19K ), this stellar Victorian jewel lights up the sky with total diamond weight approximately 1.21 carats.
An absolute treasure: Original Victorian English Diamond and Enamel Star Jewel that originally was part of either a crown or necklace, carries with it a fascinating history and an air of regal elegance. The ingenious original mechanism for interchanging jewels is still intact, a charming detail that speaks to its heritage.
This splendid celestial sparkler measures 2" ( 5cm )long with the removable bail enhancer, the star itself is about 1" (2.54cm). The weight with bail is 6 grams. So different from what we tend to see!
GIA certified ( they recently add the service for diamond jewelry certificate). The center stone weighs almost half-a-carat (o.42ct) Old Mine Diamond, as much as it possible to grade diamonds set in bright yellow gold, GIA gave it impressive H-I color VS1-VS2 clarity—a remarkable grade for a stone of this period. It beams from within its own 10-pointed star setting with additional old mine, single and rose cut diamonds, also white and twinkly H and higher color, I and higher clarity.
A striking border of royal blue enamel adds a pop of vibrant color, beautifully contrasting with the buttery high-karat gold.
We have lovingly converted this antique treasure into a versatile pendant, adding a removable 18K gold bail enhancer for modern wearability. A rare find and a celestial sparkler, this pendant is a piece of art to be cherished for generations.
