A stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian 3.06 carat garnet and 0.13 carat diamond, 21 karat yellow gold necklace in the form of a snake; part of our diverse antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive snake necklace has been crafted in 21k yellow gold. The exceptional example of Victorian jewelry has been crafted in the form of a snake's head and serpent-like body. The snake's head is embellished with a textured design and interlacing scrolling leaf motifs. The head is further ornamented with an impressive claw set heart shaped garnet to the crown, above two Old European cut diamonds, collet set to represent the snake's eyes. A feature claw set cabochon cut garnet suspends from a ring loop to the snake's open mouth, set to the center of a pear shaped design. The body of the snake is represented by a graduated snake chain, by which means the necklace is worn around the neck.
