About the Item
This Victorian heart locket is a beautifully crafted example of late 19th-century sentimental jewellery. Made in warm 9ct gold, its softly contoured heart form is decorated with flowing foliate engraving across the upper surface, contrasted by a smooth polished lower panel. The engraving features confident hand-cut scrolls and feathered leaves, creating movement and texture that reflect the light with gentle warmth.
The locket is crafted in 9ct gold back and front, meaning both the front and reverse panels are solid gold, while the internal framework is constructed from a stronger base metal for durability.
