About the Item
An AR Tetradrachm Cistophor "Cista Mystica" coin Pendant trimmed in 18 karat gold. This very fine coin was minted at Ionia, Ephesos, Circa 180-67 BC. The original coin weighs 12.39 grams and is 28.3 mm wide without the additional gold. On the reverse side is a Cista Mystica which is related to the worship of Dionysis; it features an ivy wreath with fruits and snake at center. On the obverse side, is a design of enveloped snakes around a bow case. This coin has been inspected and approved to be authentic by a professional Numismatic who specializes in ancient coinage. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this coin. This is an artisan made custom piece - Unique and one of a kind!
