An art-deco jadeite pendant necklace with diamonds.
This is a beautiful pendant necklace created in Europe with orientalism motifs during the art-deco period, back in the 1920. The chain necklace was carefully crafted with geometric links in solid .900/.999 platinum and mounted with one translucent piece of jadeite green jade carved in the shape of a leave. The mounting and the chain are embellished with fifty-three old European round cuts diamonds. Fitted with a spring ring security lock. The jade is translucent with great green color saturation and not treated.
The Jadeite Leave
In Chinese and Asian cultures, jade leaves, particularly those carved from jadeite, symbolize preciousness, prosperity, and protection, often associated with children and grandchildren. The saying "golden branch, jade leaf" traditionally referred to the emperor's daughter, highlighting nobility and high status. Gifting a jade leaf conveys admiration, love, and a wish for the recipient's well-being.
Jadeite Jade: Mount in a hanging concealed setting, with 1 fancy cut carving (38 x 12 x 3 mm) in the shape of a leave carved from natural translucent jadeite green jade with a weight of about 8.45 carats.
Diamonds: Mounted in pave and bezel settings, with 53 calibrated European round cuts diamonds, with a total weight of about 0.86 carats, white colorless F/G color, VS/SI clarity.
Birthstone: Jadeite jade for the month of March.
Weight: 5.60 Grams, (3.60 Dwt).
Length: The chain 18 Inches long, (45.72 Cm.).
Measurements: The jadeite green jade pendant is 40 mm by 12.6 mm (1.58 x 0.50 Inches).
Hallmarks: Unmarked and electronically tested for platinum with results as follows .900/.999 Pt and .800/.999 Pt.
Collateral: This art-deco necklace chain is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this art-deco necklace chain is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the platinum. The 54 gemstones are secured in the settings. This art deco necklace was carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
