This is a gorgeous Antique Art Deco - Victorian Pendant or Brooch set with the most wonderful 1/2 inch Garnet Cabochon in the center surrounded by sparkling blood red Bohemian Garnets in three layers. The garnets are full of radiant sparkle and life. The center monumental garnet is just fabulous.
The true beauty of these garnets is difficult to photograph.
The pendant has a retractable bale which folds down when worn as a brooch. The pendant is gold-filled. The Garnet pendant is a delicate romantic jewel full of the romance of the Art Deco period. It dates to circa 1900.

The vivid blood red color of Garnets has symbolized love and devotion through the ages. Garnets also signify protection, friendship, and trust and garnets are also said to keep the wearer safe during travel.
