Fine Art Deco diamond, square cut cabochon blue-green opal and 18K white and yellow gold pendant
Early 20th Ccentury
Exquisite, elegant Art Deco period diamond, blue-green opal 18K white gold pendant with the center square cut cabochon opal measuring 8.6mm by 8.6mm, surrounded by diamonds measuring approximately .75 TCW. The sides reticulated, with S-scroll motifs to allow light in for dramatic play of color.
Perfectly proportioned, excellent quality Art Deco pendant with an unusually strong, beautiful opal center gemstone, a rare find.
Tested for 18K gold; the bale marked with inventory numbers
Length: 2 inches
Width: .57 inches
Opal: translucent with strong blue and green and faint orange play-of-color, good polish. The intensity of color in this striking opal changes based of the background- it reads strongest against a dark background, excellent against skin tone and lighter on a white background- please see the listing photos.
