About the Item
A gorgeous horseshoe and crop pendant necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! Originally pin, this stylish piece has since been converted to a pendant for modern day wear. Crafted in 14k yellow gold, the necklace consists of a beautiful horseshoe and riding crop that have been juxtaposed. The handle of the crop is crafted in 14k white gold, and adds a dainty mixed metal look to the piece. The necklace is attached by two small jump rings to a dainty 14k chain, which secures with a spring ring clasp. The clasp is stamped "14KT", and the back of the horseshoe is also marked with a "14" purity mark. A very fashionable and attractive piece, it blends seamlessly into modern day fashion and would make a perfect everyday accessory. Both beautiful and versatile, it is perfect for the equestrian enthusiast or vintage jeweler collector!
Measurements: The overall length of the necklace measures 18". The horseshoe pendant measures a little less than 1" tall and 1 7/8" wide at its widest.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent serious damage to the gold setting. The chain and spring ring clasp are secure and in excellent working condition.
